Privacy Policy
Effective July 10, 2026
No Days Off is a discipline streak tracker. You decided to change. This app is how you prove it to yourself every day. This policy explains, in plain language, what we do and do not collect, why, and the control you have over it.
The short version: if you use No Days Off on your own, we collect nothing. A record on our servers is created only if you choose to turn on Battle Buddy, and even then we store the bare minimum.
No Days Off is published by Praxis Method LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Florida limited liability company. For privacy purposes, Praxis Method LLC is the controller of the limited personal information described below. You can reach us at ndo@praxismethod.io.
1. The Core Rule: Solo Use Collects Nothing
If you use No Days Off by yourself, all of your data (your battles, your streaks, your check-ins, your settings) stays on your device. We do not have a copy. We run no analytics on solo users, we do not track you, and we create no account for you.
We only create a record on our servers when you choose to turn on the optional Battle Buddy social feature. If you never turn it on, your footprint with us stays at zero.
2. What We Collect When You Turn On Battle Buddy
Battle Buddy lets you connect with a buddy so you can hold each other accountable. To make that work, and only after you opt in, we create a server record that stores the following:
- An internal user ID. A random identifier (UUID) we generate. It is specific to this app and is not tied to your name or email.
- A unique username. The @handle you claim so a buddy can find and connect with you.
- A display name. A cosmetic, editable name you choose (for example, "David"). It does not have to be your real name.
- Your streak count. A number.
- A battle type ID. An opaque integer code for the kind of battle you are tracking. We never store the actual word for your battle or any label describing what it relates to. To our servers it is just a number.
- Your last check-in. A timestamp.
- Buddy connections. The links between you and the buddies you have connected with.
- Shared streak counts. The joint streak numbers you and a buddy build together.
- Nudge template IDs. When you send a buddy an encouragement, we record which pre-written template you sent, not any free text (there is no free text to send).
That is the complete list. We designed the feature so the server never needs to know what you are actually working on. In privacy-law terms, the only categories of personal information we handle are identifiers (the internal user ID and username) and user content (the display name you choose). Everything else in the list is app activity that is not, by itself, tied to your real-world identity.
3. What We Do Not Collect
Even when you use Battle Buddy, we do not collect or store any of the following:
- Email address. You sign in with Apple. We use the Apple sign-in token only to verify you at that moment, and then we discard the email. We do not keep it.
- Your real name. We do not ask for it or store it.
- Location data. None.
- Contacts or address book. We never access, upload, or match your contacts. Finding a buddy is done through invite links, QR codes, or username search only.
- Health or medical data. We store no health records and no information about any condition, substance, or vice.
- Free text. There are no free-text fields to moderate or store.
- Financial or payment data. Apple handles all purchases (see Section 9).
- Sensitive personal information. We do not collect or use sensitive categories of personal information (such as precise location, race, religion, health, sexual orientation, or account credentials) to infer characteristics about you.
- Browsing history or usage tracking, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
4. Sign in with Apple
On iOS, Sign in with Apple is the only way to log into the social feature. When you sign in, Apple sends us a token that confirms it is you. We use that token to establish your account and then discard the email and name Apple may pass along. We keep only the internal mapping needed to recognize you on future logins. We never sell or share this information. Your use of Sign in with Apple is also subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
5. Why We Collect It and Our Legal Bases
We collect the limited data in Section 2 for one reason: to operate the Battle Buddy feature you asked for. Specifically, to let a buddy find and connect with you, to keep your shared streak accurate, to deliver pre-written nudges, and to keep the feature secure against spam and abuse. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the feature.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar law, our legal bases for processing are:
- Consent. You provide consent when you choose to turn on the optional Battle Buddy feature. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, which removes your server records.
- Performance of a contract. We process the data in Section 2 to provide the feature you requested under our Terms of Service.
- Legitimate interests. We process limited data to keep the feature secure and to prevent spam, abuse, and objectionable content, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
6. Where Your Data Is Stored and International Transfers
When you use Battle Buddy, the data in Section 2 is stored with Supabase, a managed database provider, on infrastructure located in the United States (US East region). Access is restricted by row-level security so that records are only readable by the accounts entitled to see them.
If you access the App from outside the United States, including from the EEA or the UK, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum, where applicable), together with the data-minimization measures described in this policy. You can contact us at ndo@praxismethod.io for more information about the safeguards we use.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited data we store, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security and access controls on our database so records are readable only by entitled accounts, and strict data minimization (we store as little as possible, and no email, name, location, health, or free text). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but our design deliberately limits what could ever be exposed.
8. Retention and Deletion
- Nudges are automatically purged after 30 days.
- Your account and its data are kept while your account is active, so the feature can function.
- Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings). When you do, we delete your server records and revoke your Sign in with Apple token on Apple's side, so the app's access to your Apple sign-in is fully severed. Deletion is permanent.
- Solo data lives on your device. Deleting the App removes it.
We may retain limited information for as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, and only for that limited purpose.
9. Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card or billing information. Apple handles all billing, receipts, and subscription management under Apple's own privacy policy.
10. Service Providers and Subprocessors
We share the limited data in Section 2 only with the providers we use to run the feature, and only to the extent needed to provide it:
- Supabase hosts the database that stores your Battle Buddy record (United States).
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple (authentication), processes all purchases (StoreKit), and delivers push notifications (Apple Push Notification service).
These providers act as our processors or as independent controllers for their own services (Apple), and they are not permitted to use your data for their own advertising. We do not sell your data to, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising with, anyone.
11. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we use Apple's Push Notification service to deliver buddy nudges and similar alerts. Payloads are generic and do not reveal the nature of your battle. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device Settings.
12. No Selling, No Sharing for Ads, No Tracking
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under California law). We include no third-party advertising SDKs and no cross-app or cross-site tracking technologies. Nothing you do in No Days Off is used to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not respond differently to a Global Privacy Control signal only because there is no selling or sharing to opt out of.
13. Children's Privacy
No Days Off is rated 4+ and is intended for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because solo use collects nothing at all, and Battle Buddy requires Sign in with Apple and is limited to users 13 and older, we do not knowingly create records for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created a Battle Buddy account, contact us at ndo@praxismethod.io and we will promptly remove it.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. Because we store so little, the fastest way to exercise most of these rights is to delete your account in the App, which removes your server records. For any other request, contact us at ndo@praxismethod.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request; because we hold no email or name, verification is generally tied to control of your in-app account.
14.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)
In the 12 months before the effective date, the only categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (internal user ID, username) and user content (display name). We collect this information for the business purpose of providing and securing the Battle Buddy feature, from you directly. We do not sell or share your personal information, we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics, and we do not knowingly collect the personal information of consumers under 16 for sale.
As a California resident you have the right to:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing (not applicable, because we do neither).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (not applicable, because we do not use it that way).
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing ndo@praxismethod.io with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will respond as required by law.
14.2 Other US States (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and similar)
If you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your personal information, to access, correct, and delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sale, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise your rights, or to appeal a decision, contact us at ndo@praxismethod.io.
14.3 EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a jurisdiction with similar law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability for data you provided, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing done before withdrawal).
The controller is Praxis Method LLC (ndo@praxismethod.io). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. Our legal bases and retention periods are described in Sections 5 and 8.
15. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version here. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
